Kristen Ecklund
Vice President, Human Resources
Kristen Ecklund joined W&T in 2021 as the Director of Human Resources. Ms. Ecklund has over 20 years of Human Resources experience. Prior to W&T, Ms. Ecklund served as Director of Human Resources at Bruin E&P Operating, LLC from in 2017 to 2021 and served in a business consulting role in the HR department at Lyondell Industries from 2015 to 2017. She also was Manager, Human Resources at Memorial Resource Development Company from 2012 to 2015. Earlier in her career, Ms. Ecklund worked at Human Resources advisory firms, consulting small to medium sized companies in payroll, benefits, employee relations and organizational development. Ms. Ecklund holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from Georgia Southern University. She is a member of the Society for Human Resource Management (“SHRM”) and has earned both the PHR and SHRM-CP designations.
Huan Gamblin
Vice President of Business Development
Huan Gamblin joined W&T in 2020 as Manager of Acquisition and Divesture and was promoted to Vice President of Business Development in May 2022. Mr. Gamblin has over 17 years of domestic and international industry experience. Prior to W&T, he was the Algeria Reservoir Engineering Manager with Occidental Petroleum. Before Occidental, Mr. Gamblin held increasing responsibility at various engineering positions at Anadarko Petroleum's US Onshore, Gulf of Mexico, and International assets. He is a graduate of the University of Texas and holds a bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering.
Todd E. Grabois
Vice President and Treasurer
Todd E. Grabois joined W&T as Vice President and Treasurer in July 2006. Mr. Grabois was most recently Chief Financial Officer for Texas Independent Exploration LTD from 2001 to 2006. Prior to joining Texas Independent, he was with Benz Energy, Inc. and Texstar Petroleum for 17 years serving in various positions, including Treasurer and Secretary. Mr. Grabois has a B.S. in Accounting from the University of Delaware.
Bart P. “Trey” Hartman, III
Vice President and Chief Accounting Officer
Trey Hartman joined W&T Offshore as Controller in April 2021 and was appointed Vice President and Chief Accounting Officer in May 2022. He also was named Interim Chief Financial Officer in May 2023. He previously served as Vice President – Controller for Sheridan Production Company from 2015 to 2020. Prior to joining Sheridan, Mr. Hartman served as Vice President and Controller at Halcon Resources Corporation from 2012 to 2015. Before joining Halcon Resources, Mr. Hartman served in various successive roles including Assistant Controller at Petrohawk Energy from 2006 to 2011 and at BHP Billiton (after the sale of Petrohawk) from 2011 to 2012. From 2002 to 2006, he was in various successive roles, including Assistant Controller of Imperial Sugar Company. Mr. Hartman began his career in the Audit practice of PricewaterhouseCoopers, LLP in 1997 and moved to industry in 2002. Mr. Hartman has a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting and a Master of Science in Accounting from Texas A&M University. He is a Certified Public Accountant in the State of Texas.
Alvin T. Haynes
Vice President and Chief Information Officer
Alvin T. Haynes joined W&T Offshore as Vice President and Chief Information Officer in July 2022. He was previously Director of Cyber Security at SI Group. Prior to joining SI Group, Mr. Haynes was Vice President of Information Technology & Cyber Security at Vanguard Natural Resources, (now Grizzly Energy, LLC) from 2012 - 2021. Before joining Vanguard Natural Resources, Mr. Haynes worked as an Information Technology and Cyber Security consultant, serving clients in the oil & gas industry. Mr. Haynes served in various management roles, including IT Infrastructure Manager at Philip Services and IT Manager at ConocoPhillips. Mr. Haynes has a Bachelor of Science in Information Technology. He earned his MBA from Rice University and is a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) and a Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA).
Steven R. Lackey
Vice President, Deputy General Counsel
Steven Lackey joined W&T in 2022 as the Associate General Counsel and was promoted to the Vice President, Deputy General Counsel in September of 2024. Mr. Lackey most recently held the position of Corporate Associate, Capital Markets at the law firm of Kirkland & Ellis LLP where he provided external counsel in connection with debt and equity offerings, M&A transactions, and other capital and financing arrangements. Before joining Kirkland, Mr. Lackey was an associate at Baker Botts L.L.P. Mr. Lackey earned a B.B.A. in Finance, magna cum laude, from the University of New Mexico and a J.D., with honors, from the University of Texas School of Law.
Ford A. Peters
Vice President of Land
Ford Peters joined W&T in 2021 and has since served in various positions of increasing responsibility. Mr. Peters has over 15 years of industry and land-related experience. Prior to joining W&T, he most recently held various land and legal-related positions with Fieldwood Energy LLC (now QuarterNorth Energy LLC). Mr. Peters is a licensed attorney in the State of Texas, Registered Professional Landman, and serves on various industry related Boards including the Outer Continental Shelf Advisory Board, the Houston Association of Professional Landmen, and the Houston Land Managers Association. He received his Bachelor of Science degree from Texas A&M University and a Doctor of Jurisprudence from South Texas College of Law.
John C. Poole
Vice President, Health, Safety, Environmental and Regulatory (“HSE&R”)
John C. Poole joined W&T as Vice President, HSE&R in 2023. He has nearly 30 years of industry experience in HSE and regulatory compliance. Prior to joining W&T, Mr. Poole held successive roles in the field of HSE&R for several E&P companies in the Gulf of Mexico including Apache Corporation, Fieldwood Energy, EnVen Energy and Talos Energy. Earlier in his career, Mr. Poole spent 11 years working with DAI Engineering Management Group providing regulatory compliance consulting services to E&P companies. He began his career in 1994 with MidSouth Controls & Services working on the design, installation, and maintenance of automated process, safety, and control systems.
W. Allen Tate
Senior Vice President, Marketing
W. Allen Tate joined W&T in 2006 as Vice President, Marketing and Midstream. Mr. Tate has over 46 years of industry experience; immediately prior to joining W&T, he was Director of Producer Services for Noble Energy Marketing, Inc. Prior to joining Noble, he was Business Development Director for Southern Union, Director of Business Development and Supply for CMS Field Services, and Director of Marketing for CMS Energy. Prior to that, Mr. Tate held various management positions in Marketing, Marketing Operations, Business Development and Supply and Gas Measurement with Duke Energy, PanEnergy, Panhandle Eastern Corporation and Hytech Energy. Mr. Tate has a BBA in Finance from the University of Texas at Austin.
