W&T Offshore Re-elects Board of Directors and Elects Frank Stanley to the Board

HOUSTON, May 5 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- W&T Offshore, Inc. (NYSE: WTI) announced that at its annual meeting of shareholders held on Monday, May 4, 2009 in Houston, its shareholders re-elected Tracy W. Krohn, J. F. Freel, Virginia Boulet, S. James Nelson, Jr. Robert I. Israel and Samir G. Gibara to serve on the Board of Directors for one-year terms. B. Frank Stanley was elected to fill a seventh board seat for a one-year term.

Mr. Stanley, age 54, is currently President and Chief Financial Officer of Retail Concepts, Inc., a privately-held retail chain of 21 stores in 10 states. Prior to joining Retail Concepts, Inc. in 1988, he was Chief Financial Officer of Southpoint Porsche Audi WGW Ltd. from 1987 to 1988. From 1985 to 1987, he was employed by KPMG Peat Marwick, holding the position of Manager, Audit in 1987. Prior to KPMG Peat Marwick, he held several senior financial positions in oil service companies including Chief Financial Officer of Design Research, Inc and Tiger Oilfield Rental Co., Inc. Mr. Stanley holds a B.B.A. in Accounting from Texas A&M University and is a certified public accountant.
